Environmental Relations

Check Point Software Technologies, Inc. is committed to environmentally conscience behavior. As part of this commitment we are in compliance with the applicable environmental standards, laws, and regulations without compromising the safety and health of our employees and workplace. We supervise our compliance with local and international laws to maintain our status as a responsible corporate citizen in all locations world-wide in which we operate.

Check Point has already eliminated or reduced below legal limits its usage of the substances controlled under the European Union's (EU) Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive. We will continue to improve our products designs to meet the changing environmental requirements.

The RoHS Directive bans the placing on the EU market of new electrical and electronic equipment containing more than agreed levels of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants. The RoHS Directive is based on Article 95 of the treaty; its definitions should not vary across EU member states following translation.
