Who is Vulnerable? Oracle MySQL 5.5.28 and prior
Vulnerability Description A heap buffer overflow vulnerability exists in MySQL database server. The vulnerability is due to an error while parsing the DELETE command. Successful exploitation could result in execution of arbitrary code within the security context of the MySQL service.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your product to the latest update. For information on how to update , go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Oracle MySQL DELETE Heap Buffer Overflow protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all modules.
