| Vulnerability Description A command execution vulnerability exists in Oracle Secure Backup server,a backup solution allowing for centralized tape backup management. The vulnerability is due to an insufficient sanitizing when handling the $selector variable. A remote authenticated attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a specially crafted HTTP request to the index.php on the target server. |

Protection Overview
The protection will detect and block HTTP requests to the Secure Backup Administrator that contain embedded JavaScript in certain, non-sanitized input parameters.
In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.
