Who is Vulnerable? Lighttpd Project Lighttpd 1.4.1
Vulnerability Description A denial-of-service vulnerability has been reported in lighttpd.
Vulnerability DetailsThe vulnerability is due to insufficient validation of certain values. A remote attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending a specially crafted Connection request to the vulnerable server. Successful exploitation will cause the application to crash, resulting in a denial of service condition.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your product to the latest update. For information on how to update , go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the lighttpd Connection Header Parsing Denial of Service protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all modules.
