Who is Vulnerable? IBM Tivoli Provisioning Manager Express for Software Distribution 4.1.1 and prior
Vulnerability Description A buffer overflow vulnerability has been reported in IBM Tivoli Provisioning Manager Express.
Vulnerability DetailsThe vulnerability is due to insufficient validation of parameters used in a certain method in the Isig.isigCtl ActiveX control. A remote attacker can exploit this vulnerability by enticing a target user to open a specially crafted web page. Successful exploitation could lead to arbitrary code execution in the security context of the logged on user.

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the IBM Tivoli Provisioning Manager Express ActiveX Control Code Execution protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all modules.
