Who is Vulnerable? ManageEngine DesktopCentral 8.0.0 build 80293 and below
Vulnerability Description A code execution vulnerability has been reported in ManageEngine DesktopCentral. The vulnerability is due to lack of authentication and insufficient input validation in the AgentLogUploadServlet.class when processing HTTP requests. A remote unauthenticated attacker can upload arbitrary files to arbitrary locations. In a successful attack scenario, the attacker can execute arbitrary code with SYSTEM privileges by placing executable files in critical locations.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your product to the latest update. For information on how to update , go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

Security Gateway R75 / R71 / R70

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the ManageEngine DesktopCentral AgentLogUpload Arbitrary File Upload protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all modules.
