Who is Vulnerable? Apple Computer QuickTime prior to 7.7.4
Vulnerability Description A remote code execution vulnerability has been reported in Apple QuickTime.
Vulnerability DetailsThe vulnerability is due to improper validation of the size field of the enof atom in QuickTime movie files. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability by enticing a user to open a maliciously crafted QuickTime movie file. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability can lead to code execution in the context of the affected user. If code execution is unsuccessful, a denial of service condition may result.

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Apple QuickTime enof Atom Parsing Heap Buffer Overflow protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
