Who is Vulnerable? Belkin Linksys E1500, E2500, WRT160N, EA2700, E4200.
Vulnerability Description A directory traversal vulnerability has been reported in multiple Belkin Linksys routers.
Vulnerability DetailsThe vulnerability is due to improper input validation in the router's Web interface. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a malicious HTTP request to the victim. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could cause a remote attacker to gain access to arbitrary files.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your product to the latest update. For information on how to update , go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

Security Gateway R75 / R71 / R70

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Belkin Linksys Multiple Products Directory Traversal Vulnerability protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all modules.
