Who is Vulnerable? Linux Kernel Project Kernel prior to 3.8.5
Vulnerability Description A denial of service vulnerability has been discovered in the SCTP network module of the Linux kernel.
Vulnerability DetailsThe vulnerability is due to improper handling of duplicate COOKIE ECHO chunks. A remote, unauthenticated attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending malicious packets to cause a NULL pointer dereference. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could crash the vulnerable system.
