Who is Vulnerable? HP LeftHand Virtual SAN Appliance prior to 10.0
Vulnerability Description A Code Execution vulnerability has been reported in HP LeftHand Virtual SAN Appliance.
Vulnerability DetailsThe vulnerability is due to an insecure usage of the sscanf() function when parsing login requests. A remote attacker can exploit this issue by sending a crafted login request to the affected server. Successful exploitation would allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on an affected system.

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the HP LeftHand Virtual SAN Appliance Hydra Login Code Execution protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all modules.
