Vulnerability Description
A denial of service vulnerability has been reported in the Pragmatic General Multicast (PGM) protocol on Microsoft Windows. PGM is a reliable and scalable multicast protocol that enables receivers to detect loss, request retransmission of lost data, or notify an application of unrecoverable loss. A remote attacker can exploit this issue to create a denial of service condition on a vulnerable system.

Vulnerability Details
The vulnerability is due to the PGM's parsing code that fails to properly handle malformed PGM packets that contain an invalid fragment option. A remote attacker could trigger this flaw via a specially crafted PGM packet. Successful exploitation of this issue may create a denial of service condition, causing the system to become non-responsive.
