Vulnerability Description
A denial of service vulnerability has been reported in Microsoft Active Directory. Active Directory provides central authentication and authorization services for Windows-based systems. Vulnerability Details
The vulnerability is due to an error in the LDAP service that fails to sufficiently validate specially crafted LDAP requests. A remote attacker may trigger this vulnerability by sending a specially crafted LDAP packet to the ADAM or an Active Directory server. Successful exploitation of this issue could create a denial of service condition, causing the system to become non-responsive.
