| Vulnerability Description A remote code execution vulnerability has been reported in Microsoft Office Outlook. Microsoft Office Outlook is a personal information manager that provides an e-mail application, a calendar and task and contact management. A remote attacker can exploit this vulnerability by convincing a user to visit a specially crafted Web site. Successful exploitation could result in execution of arbitrary code on the affected system. |

Vulnerability Details The vulnerability is due to an error in Microsoft Office Outlook that fails to properly validate mailto URIs passed to it. A remote attacker could exploit this issue by convincing a user to visit a malicious Web site. Successful exploitation of this issue could allow the attacker take complete control of an affected users Outlook client. |
