Vulnerability Description
A remote code execution vulnerability has been reported in Microsoft Internet Explorer. A remote attacker could exploit this issue by convincing a user to open a maliciously crafted HTML file with Internet Explorer, causing the browser to crash and allowing execution of arbitrary commands.

Vulnerability Details
The vulnerability is due to the way Internet Explorer handles data bindings. To trigger this issue, an attacker may create a malicious web page that will exploit this vulnerability. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability will crash the browser allowing execution of arbitrary code on the vulnerable system.

Protection Overview
By enabling this protection, SmartDefense will detect and block attempts to exploit this vulnerability.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your VPN-1 product to the latest SmartDefense update. For information on how to update SmartDefense, go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

3. Install policy on all modules.
