Vulnerability Details The vulnerability is due to an error in a Windows Media Encoder 9 Series ActiveX control that was never intended to be instantiated in Internet Explorer. To trigger this issue, an attacker can create a malicious web page that initiates the vulnerable COM Object. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could allow the attacker to gain complete control over an affected system. |
