Apache Software Foundation Tomcat 7.x prior to 7.0.30
Vulnerability Description A denial of service vulnerability has been reported in Apache Tomcat.
Vulnerability DetailsThe error is caused by Tomcat not discarding any extensions included in very long Chunked-transfer requests, even if they were not processed. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to send a large amount of data to the server causing it to use up excessive resources.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your product to the latest update. For information on how to update , go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Apache Tomcat Chunked Transfer Denial of Service protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all modules.
