| Vulnerability Description A memory corruption vulnerability has been reported in the way that Microsoft Silverlight handles pointers. Microsoft Silverlight is a cross-browser, cross-platform implementation of the Microsoft .NET Framework for building media experiences and rich interactive applications for the Web. A remote attacker could exploit this issue by convincing a user to open a maliciously crafted Web page, which will allow execution of arbitrary code on the vulnerable system. |

Vulnerability Details The vulnerability is due to the way that Microsoft Silverlight handles pointers. To trigger this issue, an attacker may create a malicious Web page which contains Silverlight content. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability will cause Microsoft Silverlight to crash, or allow execution of arbitrary code on the vulnerable system. |
