| Vulnerability Description A remote code execution vulnerability has been reported in the way that the AccWizObjects ActiveX control is instantiated by Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer. ACCWIZ.dll (Microsoft Access Wizard Controls) is a component of Microsoft Office that provides a library of Access ActiveX controls. A remote attacker could exploit this issue by convincing a user to open a maliciously crafted HTML file with Internet Explorer, which may allow the attacker to execute arbitrary code on the affected system. |

Vulnerability Details The vulnerability is due to a memory corruption error in the ACCWIZ library that can be taken advantage of by providing the control with specially crafted persisted storage data. To trigger this issue, an attacker may create a malicious web page that will instantiate the affected ACCWIZ.DLL ActiveX control. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability will allow an attacker to take complete control of the affected system. |
