| Vulnerability Description An information disclosure vulnerability has been reported in Internet Explorer that could allow script to gain access to a browser window in another domain or Internet Explorer zone. A remote attacker could exploit this issue by convincing a user to open a maliciously crafted HTML file with Internet Explorer, which will cause the browser to crash and may allow execution of a script in the context of the user in another Internet Explorer domain. |

Vulnerability Details The vulnerability is due to an error in Internet Explorer that incorrectly interprets the origin of a script, allowing the script to run in the context of a domain or Internet Explorer security zone other than where it originated. To trigger this issue, an attacker may create a malicious web page that will cause Internet Explorer to exit unexpectedly. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability will result in cross-domain scripting on the user, allowing the attacker to execute script in the context of the user in another Internet Explorer domain. |
