Vulnerability Description
An information disclosure vulnerability has been reported in HP SiteScope.
Vulnerability Details
The vulnerability is due to the usage of a default user name and password as login credentials on a fresh installation of SiteScope. Attackers may exploit this breach to perform administrative operations such as creating new user or super-user accounts. Successful exploitation will result in potentially sensitive information being disclosed to attackers.

Protection Overview
This protection will detect and block malicious attempts to login to the server.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your product to the latest update. For information on how to update , go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

To configure the defense, select your product from the list below and follow the related protection steps.

How Can I Protect My Network?
1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the HP SiteScope IntegrationViewer Default Credentials Information Disclosure protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
2. Install policy on all modules.
