Vulnerability Description
A memory corruption vulnerability has been reported in Adobe Flash Player.
Update/Patch Available
Adobe has released an update to address this vulnerability.
Vulnerability Details
The vulnerability is due to insufficient validation of the parsed data's length. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by enticing a user to open a web page containing an embedded malformed SWF file. Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to take complete control of the target system.

Protection Overview
This protection will detect and block the transferring of malicious SWF files.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

To configure the defense, select your product from the list below and follow the related protection steps.

How Can I Protect My Network?
1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Adobe Flash Player Overlapping Records Memory Corruption (APSB1-28) protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
2. Install policy on all modules.
