Vulnerability Details A remote attacker can exploit vulnerabilities in JRE by enticing a target user to open a malicious applet with a vulnerable application. Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to inject and execute code on a vulnerable target host. |
Protection Overview
This protection will detect and block Metasploit attacks which use Java signed applets.
In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.
