Who is Vulnerable?
MySQL Version 5.5.19 and prior
A remote code execution vulnerability has been reported in MySQL.
The vulnerability is due to stack based buffer overrun. A remote attacker can exploit this issue by sending a specially crafted request to the target. Successful exploitation would allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code or cause the target to crash.
This protection will detect and block attempts to exploit this vulnerability.
