Vulnerability Details The vulnerability is due to an error in Snort Intrusion Detection System when it reassembles fragmented packets. A remote attacker may exploit this vulnerability by sending malicious packets over UDP to an affected service. Successful exploitation could cause the service to become unresponsive, resulting in a denial of service condition. |
Protection Overview
This protection will detect and block attempts to transfer malicious packets over UDP.
