Vulnerability Description
A directory traversal vulnerability has been reported in VMware Update Manager.
Vulnerability Details
The vulnerability is caused due to insufficient validation of user supplied input. A remote attacker can exploit this issue by sending a specially crafted request to the targeted server. Successful exploitation would allow the attacker access to unauthorized files.

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the VMware Update Manager Directory Traversal protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all modules.
