Vulnerability Description
A file retrieval vulnerability has been reported in Novell File Reporter.
Vulnerability Details
The vulnerability is due to lack of authorization on certain requests, resulting in the retrieval of the contents of a file. A remote attacker can exploit this issue by sending a specially crafted request to the affected server. Successful exploitation would result in arbitrary file retrieval.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your product to the latest update. For information on how to update , go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

How Can I Protect My Network?

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Novell File Reporter FSFUI Arbitrary File Retrieval protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all modules.
