    Vulnerability Description A remote code execution vulnerability has been reported in Microsoft Windows.

    Vulnerability DetailsThe vulnerability is caused due to incorrect handling of specially crafted TTF files. A remote attacker may exploit this vulnerability by enticing an affected user to open a specially crafted web-page. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability will allow execution of arbitrary code on a target system.

    Protection Overview

    This protection will detect and block attempts to transfer malicious TTF files over HTTP.

    In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

    Security Gateway R75 / R71 / R70

    1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Microsoft Windows Malformed TrueType Font Remote Code Execution (MS12-034) protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
    2. Install policy on all modules.
