A remote code execution vulnerability has been reported in Microsoft Works.
Apply patches from: MS12-065
The vulnerability is due to memory corruption in Microsoft Works while parsing specially crafted RTF-formatted data. A remote attacker can exploit this issue by enticing a target user to open a specially crafted RTF-formatted data with an affected version of Microsoft Works. Successful exploitation would allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target.
This protection will detect and block attempts to exploit this vulnerability.
