Who is Vulnerable? Samba Team Samba prior to 3.4.0
Vulnerability Description An infinite loop vulnerability has been reported in Samba.
Vulnerability DetailsThe vulnerability is due to a boundary error while handling specially crafted AndX requests. Remote attackers could exploit this vulnerability by sending specially crafted AndX requests to the target service. Successful exploitation would allow attackers to execute arbitrary code on the affected service.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your product to the latest update. For information on how to update , go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Samba smbd Packets Infinite Loop Code Execution protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all modules.
