Who is Vulnerable?
Apple Computer QuickTime prior to 7.7.3
A buffer overflow vulnerability has been reported in Apple QuickTime.
The vulnerability is due to insufficient bounds checking while parsing certain elements in TeXML files. A remote attacker can exploit this vulnerability by enticing a user to open a specially crafted TeXML file with the affected software. Successful exploitation would allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target.
This protection will detect and block the transferring of malicious data to the target client.
