Vulnerability Details The vulnerability is due to an error in the way Visual Studio loads Add-ins from insecure file locations. An attacker may exploit this issue by placing a specially crafted Add-In and DLL file in the path used by Visual Studio. Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to run arbitrary code with elevated privileges. |
Protection Overview
This protection will detect and block attempts to transfer specially crafted DLL and Add-in files over SMB.
