    Linux and Solaris operating systems
    Vulnerability Description A remote code execution vulnerability has been reported in Adobe Flash Player.
    Update/Patch AvaliableUpdate patches from: APSB12-05
    Vulnerability DetailsThe vulnerability is due to insufficient input validation by the application while executing ActionScript code. A remote attacker may exploit this issue by enticing a user to open a specially crafted .SWF file with an affected version of Adobe Flash Player. Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code on the affected system.

    Protection Overview

    This protection will detect and block the transferring of malformed .SWF files.

    In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

    Security Gateway R75 / R71 / R70

    1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Adobe Flash Player ActionScript3 Out Of Bounds Integer Overflow (APSB12-05) protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
    2. Install policy on all modules.
