Vulnerability Description
An integer underflow vulnerability has been reported in Sophos Anti-Virus.
Vulnerability Details
The vulnerability is due to insufficient parameters validation while parsing RAR files. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by causing the affected software to process a specially crafted RAR file. Successful exploitation could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the affected service.

How Can I Protect My Network?

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Sophos Anti-Virus RAR VMSF_RGB Filter Parsing Integer Underflow protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all modules.
