|Who is Vulnerable?||Symantec Web Gateway 5.0.x before 5.0.3|
|Vulnerability Description||An arbitrary code execution vulnerability has been reported in the management GUI in Symantec Web Gateway.|
|Vulnerability Details||The vulnerability is due to an error in the way the Symantec Web Gateway interface filters user input. A remote attacker can exploit this issue by sending a specially crafted file to the target. Successful exploitation would allow an attacker to inject and execute arbitrary code on the target.|

In order for the protection to be activated, update your product to the latest update. For information on how to update , go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.
- In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Symantec Web Gateway 18.104.22.168 Arbitrary PHP File Upload protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
- Install policy on all modules.
