A denial of service vulnerability has been reported in Microsoft Kerberos.

Vulnerability Details
The vulnerability is caused when Microsoft Kerberos fails to handle a specially crafted session. A remote attacker can exploit this issue by sending a specially crafted session request to the affected server. Successful exploitation would cause the server to crash, resulting in a denial of service condition.

How Can I Protect My Network?

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Microsoft Kerberos NULL Dereference Denial of Service (MS12-069) protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all modules.
