Vulnerability Description
A denial of service vulnerability has been reported in the CA ARCserve Backup authentication service.
Vulnerability Details
The vulnerability is due to a NULL pointer dereference error while processing specially crafted SunRPC requests. A remote attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending a specially crafted request to the affected service. Successful exploitation would cause the server to crash, resulting in a denial of service condition.

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the CA ARCserve Backup Authentication Service Denial of Service protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
