Vulnerability Description
Two security bypass vulnerabilities have been reported in HP SiteScope.
Vulnerability Details
The vulnerabilities are due to insufficient access control when handling SOAP requests. A remote attacker can exploit these vulnerabilities by sending specially crafted SOAP requests to the target. Successful exploitation would allow an attacker to create new user accounts on the server.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your product to the latest update. For information on how to update , go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

How Can I Protect My Network?

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the HP SiteScope SOAP Call APIPreferenceImpl Multiple Security Bypass protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all modules.
