Who is Vulnerable?
HP Intelligent Management Center 5.1 SP1 and prior
A remote code execution vulnerability has been reported in HP iNode Management Center.
The vulnerability is due to insufficient boundary checking while copying user-supplied data into a stack buffer when handling certain messages. A remote attacker can exploit this issue by sending specially crafted messages to the target server. Successful exploitation would allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target.
This protection will detect and block the transferring of specially crafted messages to the server.
In order for the protection to be activated, update your product to the latest update. For information on how to update , go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

How Can I Protect My Network?
- In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the HP iNode Management Center iNodeMngChecker.exe Stack Buffer Overflow protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
- Install policy on all modules.
