Who is Vulnerable?
Symantec Web Gateway 126.96.36.199 prior to database update 188.8.131.528
An SQL injection vulnerability has been reported in Symantec Web Gateway.
The vulnerability is due to insufficient sanitization of the id HTTP parameter in GET requests. A remote attacker can exploit this issue by sending a specially crafted HTTP request to the vulnerable server. Successful exploitation will allow an attacker to execute SQL commands on the server, possibly resulting in a DoS condition or sensitive information disclosure.
This protection will detect and block specially crafted HTTP requests sent to the server.

- In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Symantec Web Gateway blocked.php Blind SQL Injection protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
