| Vulnerability Description A stack buffer overflow vulnerability has been reported in HP Data Protector. |

Vulnerability Details The vulnerability is due to insufficient validation of incoming packets with various opcodes. A remote attacker can exploit this issue by sending a specially crafted sequence of messages to the target service. Successful exploitation would allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target. |
