Vulnerability Description
Two access control weaknesses have been reported in HP SiteScope.
Vulnerability Details
The vulnerabilities are due to a lack of proper access control in SOAP requests. A remote attacker can exploit these vulnerabilities by sending malicious HTTP SOAP requests to the target. Successful exploitation would allow the attacker to view the content of any file on the server or view sensitive configuration information.

Protection Overview
This protection will detect and block maliciously crafted HTTP POST requests.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your product to the latest update. For information on how to update , go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

To configure the defense, select your product from the list below and follow the related protection steps.

How Can I Protect My Network?

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the HP SiteScope SOAP Call APISiteScopeImpl Multiple Information Disclosures protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all modules.
