| Vulnerability Description A denial of service vulnerability has been reported in Digium Asterisk. |

Vulnerability Details The vulnerability is due to a NULL-pointer dereference error while handling a closed client connection in the SCCP (Skinny) channel driver. A remote attacker can exploit this vulnerability by closing a connection to the Asterisk server in certain call states. The attacker will have to use a valid SCCP ID to close the connection. Successful exploitation would cause the server to crash, resulting in a denial of service condition. |
