Vulnerability Description A buffer overflow vulnerability has been reported in Microsoft Windows.
Vulnerability DetailsThe vulnerability is due to an input validation error when the kernel parses a .FON font file. A remote attacker could exploit this issue by enticing a target user to open a specially crafted .FON file. Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code in the security context of the Windows Kernel.

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Microsoft Windows Font Library File Buffer Overflow protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all modules.
