| Vulnerability Description A stack buffer overflow vulnerability has been reported in Sophos Anti-Virus and Endpoint Protection. |

Vulnerability Details The vulnerability is due to an error when handling encrypted PDF files. A remote attacker can exploit this issue by sending a specially crafted PDF file to an affected user. The vulnerability is triggered when the Sophos Detection Engine scans the malformed PDF file. Successful exploitation could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the affected service. |
