A stack buffer overflow vulnerability has been reported in Wireshark DECT dissector.
The vulnerability is caused due to improper bounds checking. A remote attacker can exploit this vulnerability by enticing a user to read a specially crafted packet trace file. Successful exploitation would allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code or terminate the application resulting in a denial of service condition.
This protection will detect and block the transferring of specially crafted packets.

- In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Wireshark DECT Dissector Stack Buffer Overflow protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
