Who is Vulnerable?
MoinMoin 1.9.5 and prior.
A directory traversal exists in MoinMoin twikidraw.
The vulnerability is caused due to improper sanitization of query strings from the path. A remote attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted requests to the affected server modifying the moin.wsgi file. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability would allow the attacker to execute arbitrary code in the target.
This protection will detect and block attempts to exploit this vulnerability.
