Who is Vulnerable?
Microsoft Word 2003 Service Pack 3
A remote code execution vulnerability exists in Microsoft Word.
Apply patches from: MS13-086
The vulnerability is caused when Microsoft Word does not properly handle objects in memory while parsing specially crafted Office files. A remote attacker can exploit this issue by enticing a user to open a specially crafted document with an affected version of Microsoft Word. Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to take complete control of the target system.
This protection will detect and block attempts to exploit this vulnerability.
