Who is Vulnerable?
Oracle Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 5.0 Update 45 and prior
Oracle Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update 45 and prior
Oracle Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 7 Update 21 and before
A heap buffer overflow vulnerability exists in Oracle Java.
The vulnerability is due to improper bounds checking. A remote attacker can exploit this vulnerability by enticing the target user to visit a specially crafted web page. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability can allow execution of arbitrary code on a target system.
This protection will detect and block attempts to exploit this vulnerability.
