A vulnerability has been reported in PHP that could allow attackers to bypass security restrictions on a vulnerable system.
The vulnerability is due to an error when handling null characters in the Subject Alternative Name field of an X.509 certificate. An unprivileged, remote attacker can exploit this flaw by sending a malicious certificate. Successful exploitation could result in a security bypass.
This protection will detect and block attempts to exploit this vulnerability.
