Who is Vulnerable?
HP LeftHand Virtual SAN Appliance prior to 10.0
A Code Execution vulnerability has been reported in HP LeftHand Virtual SAN Appliance.
The vulnerability is due to an insecure usage of the sscanf() function when parsing login requests. A remote attacker can exploit this issue by sending a crafted login request to the affected server. Successful exploitation would allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on an affected system.
This protection will detect and block attempts to exploit this vulnerability.
